Pakistan Ordnance Factories, popular as POF, is the biggest supplier of weapons and equipment. POF supplies weapons and equipment to Pakistani Forces such as the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Air Force, Ranger, Frontier Corps, and those who require weapons for their security purpose.
About POF Apprenticeship Program 2024
POF Artisan Training Scheme offers training opportunities to Artisans. Artisans who completed the training period successfully will have to serve in the Pakistan Ordnance Factories for six years. If they leave, they should return all training stipends and pay a penalty of Rs. 50,000/-.
It is the finest opportunity for young, talented, and energetic students. Selected Apprentices will get experience in the different trades by working with highly qualified and experienced professionals. Selected Artisans will get a monthly stipend also during the training period.
Selected candidates will be sent to the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Institute of Technology POFIT Wah Cantt for a training period of 18 months. A total of 150 positions are available for this POF Training Scheme.
As per conditions in the Apprenticeship Rule 1966, it shall not be mandatory for the employer to offer employment to the apprentice. However, a limited number of successful top trainees may be adjusted as per the need of POF in BPS-5 (Skilled Workman) on merit.
Eligibility Criteria for POF Artisans Apprenticeships 2024
POF welcomes young, intelligent, and talented students across Pakistan for 150 posts of Artisans for POF Artistans Batch No. 56 (1st Phase). Candidates from any corner of Pakistan are eligible as per the following quotas;
- Merit: 11
- Punjab: 75
- Sindh Urban: 11
- Sindh Rural: 17
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 17
- Balochistan: 09
- Ex-Fata: 05
- Gilgit Baltistan: 02
- Azad Kashmir: 03
Boys and Girls are eligible for this trainee opportunity. Matric Pass students can become part of this Artisans Training Scheme 2024.
- Educational Requirements: Matriculation with Science (Minimum 2nd Division)
- 10% weightage will be given to FSc (with Physics & Mathematics) and DAE Pass candidates
- Age Range: 17 to 21 Years as of April 3, 2024

Monthly Stipend:
- During 1st Semester: Rs. 7,615/- Per Month
- During 2nd Semester: Rs. 9,138/- Per Month

- Only online applications shall be considered.
- Ex-Artisans who were removed on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.
- Shortlisted individuals will be informed through an SMS of the date of the test/interviews.
- Test/Interviews will be conducted at Wah Cantt, Lahore, Multan, Quetta, and Karachi.
- Center-wise list of individuals will also be uploaded on the POF’s website.
